Medical Advisor (Contract)

PrecisionBiotics is an innovative healthcare company and a global pioneer in discovery, development and commercialisation of proprietary probiotic and pharmabiotic products and supplements. We are fast growing, and we are now recruiting a Medical Advisor in our Head Office based in Cork. We have a leading range of consumer healthcare products, including Alflorex® and Zenflore® with an exciting new product portfolio. This role will play a key part in our growth. This opportunity is based in Head Office, Cork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish & maintain clinical and scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) and academic centres to expand research and educational opportunities for PrecisionBiotics™ products.

  • Evaluate proposals for Clinical Trials and Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs), and Patient Registries.

  • Lead dialogue with external stakeholders & proactively identify opportunities for communication of data.

  • Process and manage the implementation of field requests for medical education funding, assessing the scientific. validity and alignment with Medical Division plans and ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory frame work.

  • Lead clinical projects.  Monitor the trials and give direction with supervision in the centres involved in programmes.

  • Participate in relevant training programmes.

  • Deliver medical training to help in the market activities with the brand.

  • Plan and implement clinical projects to meet deadlines.  

  • Develop and implement Medical Affairs on annual plan to deliverables and performance metrics, ensuring agreed objectives.

  • Develop and provide balanced programmes of scientific interest at relevant external events.

  • Keep updated on medical and scientific developments in the assigned therapeutic area with updates to relevant colleagues of new developments.

  • Represent PrecisionBiotics clinical and scientific interests at relevant external events

  • Manage medical affairs activities in line with the budget and assess training needs as required.

  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing departments to provide scientific and educational support. 

Experience, Skills & Qualification;

  • Medical degree required

  • A successful track record in the following areas desired:

    - Provision of Medical Affairs support

    - Developing key opinion leader in linkages.

  • Experience of Market Access activities an advantage

  • Experience of developing and implementing training and education materials an advantage

  • Experience of relevant therapeutic areas an advantage

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the evolving Regulatory frame works

  • A can-do attitude with excellent attention to detail

  • Be a team player with strong communication skills.

  • Enjoy working cross functionally with ability to work objectively

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • A determined effective self-starter with the organisation and ability to complete work to deadlines.

  • Be an analytical thinker with good commercial judgement and decision making

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
